I caught the Mug Rug Bug
A strange feeling I just couldn't shrug.
Could it be that I'd been bitten,
By the Mug Rug Bug?
So cute, so small,
If furry, they would be a pug!
A comfy place for a cup to rest
Accompanied by a treat on the side is best!
Into my scrap bin I delved and dug,
and found the perfect pieces to lug.
I began to stitch and sew,
and soon had 4 mug rugs to show.
Not for us, they were covered in colourful wrap,
Ready for the trip to another place on the map.
Off to happy places they went,
Under Christmas Trees their time was spent.
Until finally The Day came,
and one by one they found homes when called out by name.
Their lucky mugs will never be the same.
A comfy place for a cup to rest
Accompanied by a treat on the side is best!
But! There's something about them that can't be seen!
A little secret, it's time for me to come clean...
Each time a person uses their specially made Mug Rug
It includes a Great Big Hug!!!!
