More Prairie Points!!
Firstly I have to say thank you for all your wonderful comments about my Gypsy Carnival quilt in the previous post. I really appreciate each and every comment!
Well it seems I just can't get enough of a good thing because here's a mini quilt featuring more prairie points. It was my photo model for a tutorial I did on how to make Prairie Points and attach them to your quilts. Check out the tutorial here on the Craftsy blog.
From tip to tip the quilt measures 20 inches square. I've called it Prairie Point Steps because it reminds me somehow of a flight of stairs. Maybe it'll look more like that if we swivel it 45 degrees.
I used this cute black and white fabric on the back. From a distance it just looks like a random black and white pattern but when you look closely there's little scenes like this one. Just the right scale for a little quilt.
I don't think this will be the last of my prairie point adventures...
In the meantime I'd better announce the winner for Sew Mama Sew Giveaway day, it's a bit overdue but better late than never.
Using my Button Method of choosing I asked everyone to guess the number of buttons in the Blue Daisy tea cup.
Two people guessed the correct number of 167 so I allocated a button to each contestant.
I held them in my hands hidden behind my back and asked Gbf to choose a hand. He picked the hand the held the red button which made Shay of Quilting in my Pyjamas the winner!! Shay didn't believe me when I first told her, she thought I was teasing her... I'm sure it'll seem more real when a little box of goodies lands on her door step. Yay for Shay!!
I'll leave you with a great quote I recently heard
by Mary Lou Cook
Creativity is,
Experimenting, Growing, Taking risks, Breaking Rules,
Making Mistakes and Having Fun.
I couldn't agree more!!
