I'm joining in the Finish Along!

Okay Okay, I'm joining in !!
Peer pressure, a touch of madness and the fact that I'm up to my ears in UFO's are good enough reasons to join in the 2014 Finish Along, hosted by the one and only Katy of The Littlest Thistle. Oh and there's lots of great prizes to win. Thanks to the wonderful Sponsors.

I'm going to nominate the following projects.

1) First up on my finish list is my Swoon Houses. This is the block I made when I did a tutorial of sorts. The plan is to quilt the block so it can be used as a little wall hanging quilt. Then I'll have a giveaway so it can find a home with one of my wonderful followers.

2) Octopus's Garden. It would great to get this quilt finished so I can show it at The Springwood Quilt Show. The quilt top is not too big so I'll have a go at machine quilting it. I figure it doesn't need fancy stitches because the fabrics and quilt pattern tell enough of a story.

3) Conversation - This will get a good dose of lovely chunky hand quilting.

I'm hoping those 3 should be managable by the beginning of April. I don't want to scare myself with a big list, especially as I have some busy times coming up in the next month. Plus it's always nice to have a bit of room to work on other things as the mood strikes.
Well that's it, I've set my goals, I'd better get sewing!

I like your quite do-able list very much - and even better, I love each project on it. You have a good variety to work on too which is always good. Your swoon houses are very clever!

You're going to give the swoon houses block away? That's how I found your blog! It popped up on Pinterest and I followed it home :)

Happy, happy finishing! I do love all of these projects. I'd forgotten about your octopus. Isn't that the fun part of pulling out some old works? It's almost like they're new again. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one with finishes on my mind this year.

What wonderful quilts-best wishes on finishing all of them! I think that starting out with a small list is a great approach, then you won't feel as pressured.
Have a great weekend,
Judy

That is a hefty list...all power to you and your needle. Great to see those projects again. It was a bit like seeing old friends.

Good luck with your finishes. I hope there aren't too many distractions along the way. I know I would be distracted every now and then. However it will feel VERY GOOD to get them finished.

Swoon houses is adorable! I've seen many Swoon variations, but I think that's my fav! I can see it in a child's room (or someone older, too!)

Hi Rachael and Happy New Year! It will be a great achievement for you to finish all of these - especially the Swoon Houses (though of course I have a soft spot for that one!). The third quilt is quite unusual and will be lovely to see the finished whole thing! xCathy
