It's the Springwood Quilt Show's 10th anniversary so it's bound to be better than ever. The show runs from Friday to Sunday, from 10-4pm daily, and is held at the Springwood High School, Grose Rd, Faulconbridge. The hall will be filled with quilts made by quilters of the Blue Mountains. Rhonda Pearce is the guest quilter with her beautiful award winning applique quilts. You can read more about Rhonda and see photos of her quilts on the Springwood Quilt Show blog. And of course there will be lots of vendors with an abundant amount of tempting wares, and delicious meals and snacks being served.

For the first time in my 5 years of taking part I'm not sewing on labels the night before. My quilts are all neated stacked and ready to be dropped off for the big hanging day, I was going to share a photo of them all in a pile but I didn't get home till late and it's too dark now for pretty pictures.

But I couldn't possibly have a post without photos so here are some I've taken recently.
Most mornings Mr Daisy and I go for a walk in our local neighbourhood. We head off quite early and sometimes just as the sun is rising.

Is that a star still shining in the sky or a UFO whizzing by?

Our walks take us down all sorts of paths...

through luscious seas of green down in the valley.

Big puddles and arches of trees.

and to ridges with beautiful views looking out over the mountains.

We find nice places to stop and enjoy a snack.

As we walk I'm always seeing pretty things to take photos of. The result is a million snapshots of leaves and rocks but I'll just show a couple.

The last few days our walks have been interrupted by torrential rain...

...but never fear , the weekend's weather forecast is for sunny and fine, and will be perfect for the quilt show. Yay! I'll be there on Saturday and Sunday so say hello if you see me.
