Wild Thing

My latest finish...

Wild Thing

I'm a huge fan of zebra stripes so when Jennifer Paganelli put out a range in 6 hot colours to say I was excited was an understatement. Sewing big wonky log cabins gave me a chance to play with the movement and colours of these fabrics.

More wonderful chunky zebra stripes on the back. They make fun binding too.

I quilted it with simple wonky lines running across the quilt.

As always I like to celebrate a finished quilt with a photo shoot. Gbf ventured just beyond the bottom of our backyard for these photos

Here's my very patient quilt photo helper. He got an icky leech on his leg after climbing through the bush for some of these photos and he didn't even complain. Thanks Gbf!!

Lady, you just keep pumping out the fab quilts! I love the little scrappy bits :-) I think I have to get back to my roots and do some bright quilts - I've been working with "tasteful" colours for a while but I need me some brights with a bit of vavoom!
Gbf took a leech for you? I LOATHE leeches to the point of incoherent fear.
BTW, some of my friends were at Wentworth Falls when that tourist fell recently. They didn't see it happen but they were not surprised from the antics going on.

Wild Thing is the perfect name for this quilt, it's wild and fabulous. I love the movement in it and those pops of non zebra fabric - genius!

Wonderful wild thing. You're lucky it didn't escape back into the wilderness where it came from ;-)
